Rebranding

In 2011, Expression changed part of its company name from Expression Multimedia to Expression Web to reflect the evolution of its business. Alain Cote, President of the old and new Expression, gives his personal account of this transition:
Alain Cote President, Expression Web

“When we started Expression in 1998, the web was a very different place. This was before Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. It was even before Yahoo! and Google. CDs were also still extremely popular. Calling ourselves ‘multimedia’ was a good choice at the time since it reflected the versatile nature of the work we were doing in that emerging technology. Now, more than 10 years later, the web has become a much more complex and sophisticated environment requiring a much deeper and specialized knowledge of web technology. Since Expression slowly moved away from CD and multimedia production to a specialization in web development, we realized we needed to change the company name to reflect that evolution.”

The name change will not affect the great service that our current customers are used to. We are still the same staff doing the same great work…only under a slightly updated name. You’ll also notice that our domain name has changed to reflect the new name: www.expweb.ca. Likewise, our email addresses are changed to @expweb.ca. Please note that our old domain (expressionmultimedia.com) will still work and bring you to the new site. Also, all of our old email addresses @expressionmultimedia.com will still work and be forwarded to our new email addresses. So you do not have to worry about emails getting lost. To our existing customer, thank you for trusting us these past 10 years, and to our new customers, welcome to the family!

However since the invention of buy-sell sites like eBay followed by purchasing platforms like PayPal, online consumer purchasing discomfort has subsided. READ MORE
